Are you a community-minded person who would like to get involved in volunteering on the Board of Directors or Board Oversight Committee? We are always looking for people from a variety of backgrounds who can offer their skills and experience.
While Altura Credit Union is a community-focussed financial co-operative with the members at the heart of every decision, volunteers with a background in business, communications, finance, marketing, lending, compliance and community involvement could help by bringing their skillset to the table. If you are interested, but don't have experience in any of the aforementioned sectors, you should still contact us. You may well have valuable insights or experiences that could well be of great benefit to Altura.
Volunteers should be available for Monthly evening meetings, where all aspects of the ongoing running of the credit union are discussed and key decisions are made. Ideal candidates should have a keen interest in credit unions, local matters, their community and the future direction of Altura. Teamwork is important as the Board will also be involved in several committees where working together is key to achieving goals. Candidates should be willing to undertake relevant training and also set aside time each Month to review reports from the Management Team and some other contributors.
