Parents/Guardians often find the expense of going back to School very difficult. We can help with our School Tech Assist Loan, the loan is for the cost of the iPad/laptop & e-books, so you can tick that off the long list of things to buy when starting, or continuing on, in Secondary School.
School Tech Assist loans are available to the Parent/Guardian of the Student needing the equipment. We can only issue loans to members, so if you are not a member please see below what you need to do to join. You can join and apply for your loan in our app, online, or in branch.
You will need to know how to make the payment to your provider, once the loan is approved. Altura Credit Union Ltd does not make direct payments to providers on your behalf*. We do not have access to any provider's banking or appropriate reference information. Please ensure you know how to make the payment, once you have received the funds.
There are now so many Schools and various providers, it is not possible for Altura Credit Union Ltd. to make direct payments. If you provide the BIC, IBAN & Reference at the time of loan drawdown, we may be able to process a fund transfer on your behalf. However, Altura Credit Union cannot verify any of these details.
*In certain circumstances, this may be required. However most of these loans will be issued to you to make the payment yourself.
Example: A loan of €5,000 over 5 Years would have 60 Monthly repayments of €94.14. Total Interest Payable: €648.21. Total Amount Repayable €5,648.21.
