Nominations
When a member who is over 16 years of age opens a credit union account, they are entitled to nominate a person (or persons) to receive their property in the credit union on their death. Property includes shares, deposits, loans, and insurance proceeds up to the value of €27,000. This is a free service that can make a difficult time that little bit easier.
Any funds above the value allowed under a nomination (€27,000), will form part of the deceased's estate and go through probate.
If you want to plan ahead and make your wishes known, ask us when you are in any of our branches and we can complete the nomination form with you.
