Don't Let Your New Visa Debit Card Expire!

If you recently received your new Visa Debit Card from Altura Credit Union, but haven't started using it yet, you will still need to complete the activation process.

Many members received their cards several weeks ago, and we've found that some cards have not yet been activated. The good news is that activation only takes a few minutes and ensures your card is ready whenever you need it.

Step 1: Obtain Your PIN

Before you can activate your card, you'll need to receive your new PIN.

Simply text:

PIN DDMMYYYY XXXX

to 51155

Where:

• DDMMYYYY is your date of birth
• XXXX is the last four digits of your Visa Debit Card number

For example: (If your date of birth was 01/01/1990 & the last four digits of your card were 1234)

PIN 01011980 1234

You will receive your PIN by SMS within a few minutes.

Important PIN Security Tips

• Never share your PIN with anyone.
• Never write your PIN down or store it electronically.
• Delete the PIN text message after memorising it.

Step 2: Activate Your Card

Once you have your PIN:

1. Sign the back of your card.
2. Visit any ATM or retailer.
3. Complete a transaction using your PIN.

Your card will be activated after successfully completing a PIN transaction. Contactless payments can then be enabled and used as normal.

Step 3: Set Up Your Online Shopping Password

For additional security when shopping online, you'll need to create a password for Visa Secure.

Text:

PASSWORD DDMMYYYY XXXX

to 51155

Then follow the instructions sent to your phone to create your online shopping password. This password helps protect your card from unauthorised online use and may be required when making online purchases.
