Take Care With Scam Messages

We have been made aware of some scam text messages circulating purporting to be from a Credit Union. These massages do not name any specific credit union, and are targeting credit union members Nationwide.

Please always think carefully when you receive a text message which appears to be from any institution. Ask Yourself:

• Does this message seem real, are there any spelling & grammar mistakes? (These are common in scams, but not always the case).
• Were you expecting this text? Does it seem out of character?
• Does it come into the same conversation on your phone as legitimate SMS from Altura? (probably not).
• Does is ask you to reply, or click on a link contained in the message? (We will NEVER do this).
